The first is a really nice composition, but for my tastes, it is oversaturated. It's more noticeable in the lytebox. It's all taste, of course, but I prefer a more natural appearance. I tried desaturating a bit in PS, and it looked better to me.

Just to say that I also think the 1st image is exceptionally beautiful (my favourite landscape of yours) and that the colours/hdr are just a tad strong for me, too. I'd also crop it just above the tallest fir tree in the scene and a wee bit off of the left for more attention on the beautiful framing of the scene. Absolutely, lovely.
