Standing room only
Almost every day(sometimes, multiple times) we have a mini invasion to the backyard feeder. I was finally able to capture these little buggers. I was able to get only 2 shots when the restaurant was full. I have no idea what species these birds are. All I know is that they aren't still very long as is evident by most of these being "soft" on the focus.

Re: Standing room only
What a beautiful colour they are! I love how their feathers slowly transform from that soft grey to the soft blueish colour.

Re: Standing room only
Neat image but, it might benefit from some additional structure/sharpening...

Re: Standing room only
Yes, I noticed it was very soft. I sharpened a little, but, I also used a slow shutter speed during the capture. Combine that with these little guys not staying still very long and the image comes out soft. I didn't want to increase the ISO too much as it brings out a lot of noise. I've been trying for quite some time to get this pic. Every time I go get my camera out of the other room, they're usually all gone.

Re: Standing room only
I have that kind of feeder near my trees at the deck to replace the hummingbird feeder...kinda funny how much I have to clean up afterwards with all the poops and feathers flying all over the place when they fight for position as the feed goes lower and lower... bu this is a nice catch, Brian...I will remember this one when I put another suet feed there tomorrow...
