    Re: Stairway to Heaven

    Goodness me Sam

I did not expect such a response.
    Thank you.

    Good work.
Interestingly I think the crop does lend some more mystery to the "stairway".
Like I wonder where it leads, what is at the end?

And the front end does not seem (to me) to over power the "stairway".

thank you for going the the effort to do that.

Being late to this party, that was my thought on the original post -- how does the other side look like on the top of that stair, Sam? You have succeeded in the texture, and the conversion and I like that excellent shot. The edit is good too though the drama is still there, the question unanswered. Now tell me if you have another shot on that other side of the stairway to your heaven...if you don't it does not matter, just a description of what you saw there will be enough...

    Hi Izzie,

Thanks for taking an interest in my photo. Unfortunately as I was climbing the stairway I was met by an angel (second photo) who looked at me as if I did not belong there. I pleaded my case that I just wanted to take some pictures. She said "perhaps one day when you master the art of B&W photography". I was allowed however to take the below photos which I do not submit as evidence that I'm making progress toward that goal. BTW thank you for the complement on the "excellent shot". Best regards - Sam

I like that last one Sam,

Although I'd crop about 10% off the right hand side

    Exactly my thoughts.
