Loft is the name of a Japanese department store chain.
My wife and daughter decided to go shopping (probably one of my least favourite activities) and needed a pack-horse to carry things back to our apartment. Fortunately, I had my camera along and got to explore the architecture of the place.

Before and during WWII, Nagoya, an industrial city, was home to much of the Japanese aircraft manufacturing industry. This meant that after the war, they got to build lots of new buildings....
The reason I went B&W was the lighting. The area was lit by a combination of daylight from the multi-story glass front of the building and the interior lighting had a rather warm colour temperature.
