    Mini Competition #102

    Here's how it works ...

    - You good folks post images in the thread (please change your post title to a name for your picture)

    - When we get 10 images we will attach a voting poll

    - After 3 days the poll closes and the winner is declared!

    - If you would especially like some critique after the competition poll closes, please make it known in the post

    Too easy eh?

Limit of 1 image per post, and 2 image posts per person.

If there are already 10 in the current comp, please start a new thread in this forums

I'd love to know what equipment you used to make the image of the African Daisey Bud. It's beautiful! The sharpness and detail are amazing!

    Re: Ocean Twilight

You know this place is macro nuts; of course if you can only see the size of a postage stamp some will take advantage, will use resolution and closeness, topology to their own evil ways, Yan's work looks macro inspired but isn't macro, however I think it would look a bit wider without the lights.

I don't know, I think I'm voting for Yan. It looks great even if it ain't real and it's a landscape. I think Yan lives on a beach and has to include the big rock in the foreground, for some reason, I don't know. Would it look ok without lights or a rock.

    Steve,

Thanks for looking at my photo closely. I noted many photos in this competition entry are macro. I like macro photography too, but love landscape photography more. I don't live on a beach, any beach is at least 60 KM away from my home. But I love to take ocean photographs. Central coast in NSW is one of the best places I like to go (120 KM).

I did some macro photos recently for practice, maybe I can post some in the forum later.

I can't do macro but would like to learn from landscapes some ideas that I could maybe steal, and I'm not too far from water but a cool 150km from the nearest coast.

    cheers

Makes me realise how lucky we are here. Seldom very far from the coast.
