Ok my contribution for day 13... short on ideas so have gone a bit domestic, (was late back and this was quick since I was into the kitchen straight away!)

I quite liked the final effect of this but think it is a bit 'graphic design'

It was in a bottle, and it had a label on it, I think... probably some of Colin's hooch that he knocks up in his studio.

Nah - I wix my mords up enough without any help from the "wild weed". Reminds me of a story from the Air Force days though ... the police and Air Force used to get together with helicopters for "hooch hunting" missions ... when they got back the aircraft was cordoned off - all the hooch removed - and they even vacuumed out the remains ... before driving off and leaving the vacuum cleaner "un-emptied". Rumour has it some of the boys were quite delighted by this fact!

Canon 500D, EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 IS USM @ 43mm, Full EXIF, PAD slideshow. I bounced a flash off the ceiling for a little more light.

I was in Baltimore today, and went to the Hard Rock Cafe for a late lunch, figuring there might be some interesting things on the wall. When I saw John Lennon's Pentax, the search was over. I have no idea why it's in Baltimore, although the room it's in is some room that was supposedly transplanted from elsewhere. Or the Beatles may have played Baltimore in the early years: Baltimore does get some pretty big musical names, to this day.

It's in a glass case, of course, which hurts the quality. I planned to go back and try with the tabletop tripod I carry in my bag, but there was a party at the table by then, and the table was loaded. I'll probably go back: maybe they'll even open the case for me.

    C&C always appreciated.

    Cheers,

By coincidence, I found this today at the UK Daily Telegraph site. Quite interesting shots - you need to read the descriptions underneath.

    Re: La Vergne Sunset

Did some wandering about the yard tonight, as there wasn't going to be a sunset.

My mother loved Blaze Roses. Every place I've lived, I've planted one or more Blaze roses. This blossom happens to be a double, which is unheard of in a Blaze. It is not as obvious as the one it threw last year, but sitll impressive.

The Blaze blooms all season, into late Fall. This one had fresh blooms last year well into November. I purposely left the dead hips from last month's bloom in the frame.

I call these guys "hover flies." They are very hard to capture sitting still. I think feeding on the cats' happy plants got him stoned.

How's that for a mixed bag?

    Emergency PAD standby idea #2

I'm late posting, but I sorta have 'proof' I took it on Day 13 (honest I did)
