Hey Christina,
I just had a 'naughty' thought for #2
Extend the canvas up, to right, even left if you like.
Then clone extend the image; the top would be pretty easy, the left too, I should think, but clone extending that bank on the right hand side without seeing the join or getting to many repeating patterns, would be the biggest challenge.
Cheating? May be, but if you're a digital artist, why not 'paint'?
Cheers, Dave

Thank you, Mark... Appreciated.
Dave... If I had the ability to do it well (seen at full size) I would give an artistic rendition a try, making it obviously artistic, ie; not real. However it is beyond my current skill set. Indeed, I thought about it and gave it a try just yesterday. I can extend the canvas upwards but to the side with the bank, impossible... I'll save it for future.

Hi Christina I like both images and I agree with Isabel about #2. I don't think you need any further processing for it and it is nice as is. But I would also try a BnW conversion for it, IMO it would look good too
