    Twinkie

That's the name he came to us with so, we will keep it until his furever parents change it to anything they want.

Twinkie is a four year old pure bred Maltese who was turned over to us by his mom who is experiencing severe health problems and cannot care for him.

    Twinkie

We placed his color image on www.petfinder.com and expect to start getting applications soon. He is house trained and has no socialization problems.

I just thought that the image might convert well to black and white.

I did the conversion using Color Effex Pro BW Conversion Filter which I have begun to use more often than the related Silver Effex Pro 2 filter.

This is the original color version...

That's interesting. I haven't looked at that option.

I tend to like the "Tonal Enhancer" option of the Color Effect Pro BW Conversion Filter when converting portraits of my white and light colored dogs to B&W.

Normally, the default selection gets pretty darn close to what I like. I have not played with the other selections within this conversion tool.

Good news! I am glad that he is readily adopted. What a good thing a good photographer can do with pictures alone...well done!

Izzie, interest in many rescue dogs is generated via the Internet these days. Even when we do on-site rescue events, most of our adopters have contacted us via the Internet and we have pre-screened the adopters. The rescue event is merely a way of getting the adopters together with the dogs without having a constant stream of people coming through our home.

Good images are essential in generating interest in our dogs. When I place one of my images on Petfinder.com, emails stat coming in and the phone begins to ring. This doesn't happen with images that are not good!

Whe have had five dogs adopted on each of the past two Saturdays...

Both of my rotties came from pictures from the internet...they were yucky shots because I just love rotties, baby ones with sharp teeth and personalities...but we decided to go to the rescue group to get to see them personally...also at Petfinder. Both have now passed away but they were a part of our lives. Good photographs means a lot and the story that goes with them are the ones that touches each of our souls.
