    Old School in B&W

I dug out some of Dads old film gear and had a play with it. Hmm, I might have to load some film in it and play some more soon.

Gorgeous - the picture and the gear. I prefer that last one, with everything in focus. It would be lovely to see that camera in action again.

    Great composition!

I prefer the lighting of the first one except that I'd like to see separation between the background and the camera body combined with the depth of field of the last one.

I prefer #3 myself like Donald... would be nice to compare these with your modern gears.

That takes me back a long way. I had one of these pre-Hanimex involvement. Built like a tank. If I remember correctly I chose to pair it with a Pentax Takumar 50mm lens. Happy days!

You're making me feel old. My first SLR was a Praktica.

That last one definitely works best for me. Consider toning down the bright area of the tripod leg so it doesn't pull the eye toward the right side of the frame.

Lovely shots. If it were mine I'd tilt the camera ever so slightly so I have the feel that it is, itself, taking a photo.
