Nice one Brian. I love the way the web fills the frame and the spider seems to almost fill the web.

Oh, I think that qualifies as a "web with a spider" Brian

You've done well to capture so much well lit web, with much of it sharp, too.

Surely a "web with a spider" suggests the spider has been captured

A good one Brian, and great example of an exercise where getting the camera to subject plane right is a challenge.

he was, by my camera! Not really a challenge as much as serendipity. His web and my tripod predicated the angle of the dangle.

Spider with web because the spider stands out beautifully. Albeit the web is also well captured.

I have measured these webs at up to 4 meters anchor point to anchor point. I have also seen these spiders catch and eat Swallow sized birds. So possibly not the original www but not too shabby.

Can you imagine walking into that in the middle of the night?

Nice capture Brian, you certainly have some very interesting subjects around your neck of the woods.

I try not to imagine it. We have lived here for 15 years (give or take) and we still once or twice a month find something in our garden/temple that we haven't seen before.
