Canon Pixma Pro 10 paper jam
This entire situation with the paper jam was my own fault. It started with a simple of dot patterns. I grabbed a piece of 8x10 which was laying behind me on another desk. Plain paper can be used for tests. I did not look at it very carefully (danger, danger) inserted into rear try and hit print. The paper started into the printer but then I heard the all this terrible noise, saw the paper wrinkle up at the point it entered the machine and then the printer stopped. Well first I read the manual but that did not help much. Before I had called support I had removed all the paper I could get my hands. When I put all the pieces together it looked like a tiny piece was missing. I then called Canon support, got on the line with a support tech actually in the USA. The tech walked me through several different techniques that are not in the manual. When we had determined all the paper that was going to come out was out we then ran a dot pattern test print test. The print was showing smears which the tech could not correct. After trying everything he knew he set me up with a local Canon contract support center located in my area. I called the local support center and arranged to drop of the printer. I left the printer and would you believe I got a call the next day from the tech that actually worked on the printer. He told me he found a tiny piece of paper in the print head and said that was the first time he had ever found a piece of paper in a print head. In any case he advised me the printer was fixed and ready to be picked up. The printer was on warranty so there was no cost to me. First let me say I will never again insert a stray piece of paper into my printer. Secondly the support Canon provided was second to none. This ends my story. Hope this in the correct forum area.

Re: Canon Pixma Pro 10 paper jam
After all that stress you need to go on a holiday... take your camera with you...leave the printer behind as it has already had a holiday at the service center....
