I have done this type of portrait, especially with my former guard dog (a golden retriever, German Shepherd, wolf hybrid). This 85 pound (~38.5 kg) dog would sit or lay for hours surveying my very large yard for which she felt she had the security responsibility. I thought that the portrait from the rear was a very appropriate way to show that wonderful dog.
