Very nice photographs, Matt - congrats. Personally, i do like b/w shots traditional mostly, but the lighthouse also catched my attention, it looks by post-processing like a painting, well done.

Hi Alan, yes they are ramps into the water to launch the rescue boat

I'm waiting for the weather to get so worse that I can't go out Matt. Then I can edit and upload some images. The winter comes slowly here in Turkey. So, I try to shoot images instead of editing.

May I ask if you used a special effect for the light on the water in #1 and for the kind of blurry look in #4?

No special effects, its natural light in #1 and just a slow shutter speed in #4.

Hi Matt - Really great work. #3 (Lighthouse) is my favorite. On the Talybont Reservoir Tower, I see you have the walkway horizontal but the tower looks to be leaning to the right. You may have wanted it that way.

Thanks Matt. As I said before, you live in a heavenly place, you have great subjects and great light there to shoot I thought you applied orton effect to #4, obviously a slower shutter speed created a similar effect.

No special effects, its natural light in #1 and just a slow shutter speed in #4.

Some really striking images. I agree with Binnur and Jim: 5 and 6 would be my picks. I really like the idea of #2, but for some reason, it doesn't quite grab me.

for my tastes, a few are too saturated, especially #7. I dropped saturation by 16 in PS and played a bit with tonality, and the results were more appealing to me. It's just taste, of course. I don't recall whether you participated in any of the threads where this was discussed, but tonal adjustments with a normal blend mode can increase saturation, even if you don't touch the saturation and vibrance adjustments. You can avoid that by changing the blend mode for tonality adjustments to luminance, or by working in LAB mode. As far as I have been able to tell, the results are the same, and the former is a lot easier.

WOW; your images look like out of the world..they simply stun me.... every one is my favorite, #3 being specially so

I think theres some distortion in the image Sam, well spotted

Hi Matt, it may not be distortion, as far as I can see the image is just a little bit tilted towards right and it needs levelling.So, it is better to level the image before trying to fix the distortion
