Looks good. One of the Inkcaps? Possibly Shaggy Inkcap (Coprinus comatus) or something similar? But you might get different species over there.

Here in the UK, the fungi have been very late, despite what I would have thought were good conditions for them.

I would go for Shaggy Inkcaps as well. I think they are amongst the most photogenic of fungi, especially with their changing form as they mature.
