I still have seven slide carousels but three of them are slated to go to the local dump. I think I still have two slide projectors. Even though I have scanned all of my slides, I still haven't trashed any of them.

Once I scanned mine and backed them up, I did bin them.

Have also done about 1200 for my sister-in-law. Family pictures and archeological stuff from her time in South America that she now uses in courses she teaches at University. All very boring to me, but fascinating to some, I'm sure. Once you've seen one Inca skull or piece of pottery you've seen 'em all!

I think I've still got my projector. Must go and look.

Love to see some pictures of Bill's old cameras Izzie. Only reason I take so many pictures of mine is they are one subject that doesn't complain about my being slow to take a shot and I really like mechanical stuff.

I have 20 boxes of Velvia slide film sitting in my freezer. Really must get around to using them one day.

Sure...when I have to be stuck in the house day in and day out because of the snow and remember them, it will be nice as a project. We are heavily booked through the end of March so far, rain, shine or snow at the moment...

    Hi Griddi,
I too have a huge cardboard box full of slides; some were even taken on Ilford film by my father in the early 1940's. I have been working my way through them and scanning them to CD/DVD. Most modern scanners are cheap and do a very good job, even on negatives. The very old slides have lost the red dye and I have struggled to make a mask for the red layer to enhance it. But still managed to recover them enough for old family photos type albums. So scan your slides before you lose them...
