A Christmas Delivery
Hello, this is my first post here so I thought I'd share a photo and introduce myself. I was invited here by Adam (Adzman) whom i know from the Fuji forum. I'm a Geography teacher and keen amateur photographer from Bolton in the North west of England.
On the 6th December my amazing wife gave birth to an equally amazing little boy. The birth wasn't smooth sailing and we ended up in theatre. Everyone is happy and healthy now though (if a little tired!). I was allowed to bring in my camera so after the birth I took a few quick shots of the room. The surgeon has even asked for a print of the one of her. C/C always welcome.
Best wishes
Rob

Re: A Christmas Delivery
You sure do have a marvelous way of introducing yourself! I just love the image -- the concentration of the viewer on the surgeon, the surgeon's concentration on her patient, and the lights in the upper area for depicting the environment.
Most important, great to know that the wife and baby are doing so well!

Re: A Christmas Delivery
As Mike suggests, that's one helluva an introduction! Cracker of an image. Good to have you on the forum. I hope you enjoy it and that the obvious knowledge and skill will be shared with others in order to help them learn.
By the way - If you wish you can go to Edit Profile and put in your location, so that it appears in the sidebar alongside your message, just like mine beside this message. Then everybody knows where everybody else is.

Re: A Christmas Delivery
Thank you Mike and Donald. I hope to be able to learn and help out in this forum which I've heard lots of good things about.
Donald, I have updated my profile. I use Tapatalk so didn't realise I could add more.
If anyone is interested here are some photos I had published on an a blog and some more information about me.

Yup all true!
Griddi invited me, I invited Rob (we've never all met irl)
See how a nice forum grows - the meaning of online community IMO
You know I love that shot Rob, and I still say kudos for bringing a proper camera to capture one of the most important days of your life!

Robert...welcome to CiC! As nerve wracking as the last post I just read this is more pleasant. I like the angle of the shot and the presentation itself...+1 to Mike's comments ...
I am glad your wife and boy turned out OK and better...it must have been a welcome relief...keep posting and participating...we'd like to see your boy grow up before our eyes...
