    The roust

Taken last winter immediately in front of our old City Hall here in Toronto.
Depending on time and circumstances, Homeless persons are sometimes rousted by the police and forced to vacate their spots.
As I recall, this was during the pre-Christmas period when there were large crowds of shoppers filling this area, and so the Police were instructed to remove these people and their belongings from the sidewalks. Converted to black and white in Photoshop.

    Thanks John.
And as per the discussion in your "Telephoto street shot" thread, this was taken with an 80~200 2.8 because I was across the street and wanted to get the picture before the situation changed, and there was no time to zoom with my feet.

And you never know how law enforcement will react to an intrusion or how the subject may react when seeing they have a witness. I think a closer position by you would have changed the look and feel of their interaction.

    Works for me.

Maybe you could crop very slightly from the top and right side but you do need to show sufficient background to put the scene into some sort of context.

    Geoff,
The crop was deliberate to put the subject in a thirds position.
