Thread: Monochrome Mini Competition #28

    Monochrome Mini Competition #28

    Monochrome Mini Competition #28

Since the aim of these is to get you taking and submitting photos, let see if it can also encourage people to post monochrome (black and white) images, even if that's not in their normal photography 'diet'.

    Here's how it works ...

    - You good folks post MONOCHROME images in the thread (please change your post title to a name for your picture) (Click the "Go Advanced" button)

    - When we get 10 images we will attach a voting poll

    - After 3 days the poll closes and the winner is declared!

    - If you would especially like some critique after the competition poll closes, please make it known in the post

    Too easy eh?

Limit of 1 image per post, and 2 image posts per person.

If there are already 10 in the current comp, please start a new thread in this forum

Re: Monochrome Mini Competition #28 Portrait of the Artist

    Rob,
I'll start this one with the B&W portrait I did a couple of days ago for the PAD challenge!

It's a great shot, James, but I can't possibly let you get away with that.

A 1680 pixel wide image. Only looks good at 1680, definitely not postage size image and to be dramatic on postage stamp size is too dramatic for BIG.

"No, I don't like work. I had rather laze about ... and think of all the fine things that can be done. I don't like work - no man does - but I like what is in the work - the chance to find yourself. Your own reality - for yourself, not for others - what no other man can ever know. They can only see the mere show, and never can tell what it really means

My last pictorial contribution before disappearing for 10 days into the heathen lands of the north-west coast of Scotland (aka Home), for a wee holiday. A few mist covered 3000 ft + mountains would assist the enjoyment and pictorial opportuntities.

You'll never make it back. If the midges don't get you, the torrential rain will.

No, I think yours is at least as good. He has such a great expression.

OK, that's enough slapping each other on the back.

This is as bad as the love-in between Dave and Nick (non-UK members should google for info about the relationship between our new Prime Minister and his Depute, following the creation of a coalition government after our recent General Election).

Could someone pour a bucket of cold water over them.

Did you hear Nick on the news today? Banging on about pensioners not getting their bus pass until age 65 in future. I don't think it's so much Dave and Nick as The Bus Pass Supremo and The Eton Milk Monitor.

Aren't you supposed to be somewhere else of a north-westerly direction by now? Rolling in the heather with Heather.

Car being loaded up as I write (then why am I in here writing!?). Leaving at 6am tomorrow morning (to avoid the mayhem that is A9 road north from Perth to Inverness between about 9am and 6pm, during the holiday season)

Careful Steve - you could be shopping for a new camera and first aid kit if she ever finds out!
