    Life's little pleasures

Taken last fall at the extremely busy downtown corner of Queen and Bay Streets, here in Toronto.
I was photographing on a weekend morning when I noticed a homeless man lying on the sidewalk, reading his Sunday paper with a coffee. And it occurred to me that some of Life's Little Pleasures are enjoyed by everyone, regardless of station or circumstances in this life.

And the wild doves are extras too...think of it as reading his papers in his deck at the back...nicely caught...

    Thanks Izzie.
But those are not doves. They are pigeons which are rats with wings.

Izzie, I had to use Google...doves are smaller and have a pointed tail, pigeons are larger in size
and have a rounded tail. Saw no mention of rats with wings though.

I might have been a bit harsh.
Our downtown is overrun with pigeons and they make a mess where ever they nest. but they're not really rats with wings.
The seagulls that are now found everywhere, even inland far away from the lakefront and scavenge for roadkill and drive off the ducks and swans from the bread that they're fed by people on the shoreline, are the true rats with wings.
    My apology to the pigeons.
But enough about me Chauncy, Let's talk about you.
What did you think of my picture?

Stop rubbing it in, I knew they were pigeons but the ID skipped my little brain at the time so I typed 'doves' instead. I should have said 'birds' to settle it but it was 2am and I wanted to go back to bed...

As I recently went thru this subject in another thread...street photography isn't my favorite genre.
Exposure/composition seems good...clarity/focus?, you tell me, how is it at 100%.

    Robert,

For a busy downtown corner I still get a sense of the man's isolation. Even the pigeons seem to be walking away from him.
    Nicely done.
