Nice picture of the mushrooms. It is never easy to get the caps from below. How did you manage this?
John
An excellent shot; it works really well in black and white
Very nice.
Oh ya......beautiful image.
Dave
A very nice composition. However, I see what appear to be artifacts from oversharpening. The most apparent is a halo around the right-hand cap and part of the right-hand stem, but I see it in some of the textured surfaces as well.
Very nice one Tejal I agree with Dan about the PP artifacts but I don't know if they are because of some oversharpening or it is because you added some blur to the image and couldn't make the selection of the blurred area properly
Lower part of the stem on the right hand mushroom is a bit of a problem. Always tricky subjects. I usually do a merge of two or three focus points.
A nicely executed image with poor composition in that with such a strong 'leaning to the right' directional thrust of the fungi themselves they should be placed an the left third to give them room to 'move into'.
I see two solutions for you Tejal ... having done both the simple mirroring or horizontal flip doesn't work but the second, a heavy crop off the left to place the mushrooms on the thirds improves matters.
But with such strong directional thurst I would like to see more space on the right even in the crop.
Otherwise it is an excellent image IMO
This is such a basic mistake that one should try and train oneself to look for it at the camera stage, for me it is hard to understand why people make such errors but I guess it comes with experience
John,
While I understand where you're coming from, and in a lot of cases it might be true, I disagree in this particular instance. IMHO the original with the negative space balances out the leaning of the mushrooms and creates a mood that is lost in your crop. Again, this is only my opinion and my reaction to the photo. The photo belongs to Tejal and it's up to her to determine it's intent.
