    For me this is a very nice image as I love BnW But I must tell you that those borders really really spoil the image Brian

    +1 to Binnur's comment.

    While I love framed photos, when showing them here for critique purposes, the frame really can get in the way. In this case the frame totally overwhelms the image.

    When I look at this shot I see (and it may well be simply be how my eyes and mind work) an added depth to the shot with the frame. As if i am looking through a window.

    As for the frame getting in the way of the critique... To me the frame is no more an unneeded add on than sharpening or white and black point adjustment. Sometimes i think it works sometimes i don't add one.

    Brian love your B&W rose, agree with the frame. A simple white border would be better. That is only my opinion.

    And now for the good news. I have changed templates on my blog. Now when I post a shot it gets an automatic white frame. I no longer will need to frame my shots for the blog. This means no more frames on my shots here.
