    Thank you Issie and Dave ... all pure fiction of course but interesting and fun and apart from the lack of depth of field quite successful for basically just pointing and pressing the trigger

    Yes, getting sufficient depth of field on snail portraits is a problem which I have also encountered. And when you try for a merge of focus points it is surprising how fast they actually move around!
