Nice concepts, surprised they look so soft considering your camera settings (f/8, ISO 100, 1/160sec), did you consider using flash to bring out the detail in the dunes?

No flash was used John. It may be because of harsh light ?

Like them - they woud be nice as backgrounds in a composite. Particularly like the 2nd - compositionally very difficult to pull off.

These are surprising tricky subjects to photograph well, Tejal.

I have tried similar scenes a few times and most ended up being ditched. My experience has been that you need to go fairly wide and with the foreground sharply focused, gradually fading into the distance.

The second and third are my preferred images from this set.
