Why display an image that is no larger than a thumbnail?

Yes, I'm using Firefox.

Mike,
How does the photo appear on this thread Southern Migration ?
Both are my threads, both images are being hosted by http://postimg.org/, and both have similar sizes, Southern Migration being 700px × 560px, Zooms to 800px × 640px.

In that thread, the image is displayed at 800 x 640 without clicking it. However, I seem to remember that it was displayed like a thumbnail when you first started the thread. I never clicked it at that time to determine if it would display larger.

I'll reboot my computer later tonight but will have to wait until then to do so. Perhaps rebooting will solve the problem. Sorry to dominate your thread!

I'm having the same issue as Mike. I'm using Microsoft Edge/Windows 10.

It's working OK on my end. I can see it in either Linux or Windows 7 using Firefox.

If it may aid the investigation, Writing and viewing this thread had no sign of any problems from my system here - A Dell Optiplex GX520, Windows XP Professional Version 2002 Service Pack 3, Firefox version 42.0
Well, actually, it might well Mike.
When we've previously had odd issues with substitute images visible from TinyPic, the people persistently seeing them were in the same geographical area - meaning they very likely were viewing the same 'local' internet server replicated content - which for some reason had retained the outdated cached, incorrect image. Whereas (literally) the rest of the world was seeing the correct image by that time.
I betcha if I copy and re-post the image, hosted elsewhere, you'll see it full size.
I also suspect that even if Steaphany uploads it again, you'll see it full size.
Also, if you wait a day or so, the original image will come good by itself.

Ha, maybe that's the problem because I am also from Virginia and am only seeing a thumbnail when I click on the picture as well.
Probably the image service provider's servers for this particular geographical location are misconfigured, or they just don't like people from Virginia
After conducting a hard reboot of my computer, I am still experiencing the same issue. Apparently my solution is to move at least to a different state if not to a different country. I'm sure Steaphany's photo is worth it.
Copy the adress of the picture directly in the browser adress bar. If you see the full picture, than it's not the server.
Further I've noticed that the new versions of FF have some blocking issues to protect your privacy. Some warning shows up. It took me a while to see it.
Trying a diferent browser.
What's left are the settings of the PC\firewall\ad blocker.

edit.
Stephany,
The originals are 800x582 for this one and 800x640 for the migration picture. Adressing directly to the pictures.
