    Three Cliffs Bay

Went out this morning hoping to see the sun, no such luck!

    Although I did get this:

    Monochrome:
    Three Cliffs Bay

    Colour:
    Three Cliffs Bay

    Thanks for viewing

Looks good to me. Nice sharp foreground going all the way to some good surf. Well balanced composition.

Looks great, very inviting. Might work in monochrome.

Very nice Matt but I'm not happy with your watermark as usual The image looks nice in color but I also agree with the other members about trying a BnW conversion.

Though you were hoping to see the sun, this photo is an example of the beauty of highly diffuse light and a photographer who knows how to take full advantage of it.

Thanks for viewing and commenting all, I did try it in monochrome before posting the colour version here and it didn't work for me.

Matt, great shot, I do agree that a B&W approach would be even better. I think that a slight crop of the bottom would help also, I mean a slight crop.
    Cheers Ole

Monochrome version looks very bleak and adds another possible element for exploration.

Matt - the colour version works much better than the monochrome. I'm not surprised as I don't see anything in the original colour that would indicate that throwing away all that colour data would give you a stronger image. You simply lose too much in the converted version.

The PP work is definitely consistent with your other landscape work (and very nicely done).

    Re: Three Cliffs Bay

I humbly request CiC members to keep the chronology of posting, which i suppose a basic discipline in such forums; otherwise it brings a lot of confusion for those who visit later such threads; if a side by side comparison is required, both images can be put in the new post... i hope i speak sense

PS: I really like the conversion too
