Hi all,
I'm Trevor from London, England. Recently retired and looking to develop my photography skills and my 'photographers eye'. :-)

Hi Trevor,
Warm welcome to the CiC forums from me - we're very friendly here and prefer first names to usernames.
So could you do me a favour please?
Could you click Settings (right at the top),
then Edit Profile (on left)
and put your first name (Trevor) in the Real Name field
and where you are (e.g. London, UK) in the Location field,
then click the Save Changes button below and to right,
this helps everyone give you more personal and relevant answers - thanks in advance.
As I was just saying to another new member (in another thread), you don't need to be shy here, so if you have a question about photography, or an image for constructive critique, do post.
Cheers, Dave
Hello
This is Sam. I am Urban Planning student and have an interest in Photography. Normally, i like the landscape and nature photography including buildings. some time l like to take the close up. Most of the times the night photography attracts me more as compared to day photography. I have a canon 700 D and normal kit lens (18-55) together with the Sigma 55-300 zoom lens. For the bright day photography i like to use the black filter so that to reduce more glare......

Hello Sam. It is a pleasure to welcome you to this forum. I hope you find useful and that you enjoy being involved.
If you would rather that people call you Sam rather than your full proper name, then you can edit your profile top change your 'Real Name', which appears alongside all your posts.
Hullo
I am P K Sengupta. I live in Pune India. I am quite an amateur photographer. I have a Nikon D5100 DSLR and I generally confine myself to using a Sigma 18-250 lens. I want to move to shooting RAW and using post processing to get rid of defects and shortcomings in my photos
Hello and welcome to the forum.
So that you don't continue to get people asking you what your proper name is, because most us use that on here, you can go to Edit Profile (under 'Forum Actions' on the Menu Bar), or you can just press on 'Settings' on the menu bar right up at the top right of the window. Once there you can enter the name by which you wish to be addressed under 'Real Name'. Then it will appear underneath your Username in all your posts. You can also enter your location so that it does the same, just as in my details alongside this message. Then we all know where everyone is in the world.
Hello everyone,
I am Michael King and I live in Wales, United Kingdom. I am an old man of 86 and an amateur photographer since 1948. Although I don't do too badly for my age, I find that some of the mysteries of digital photography and computers leave me behind sometimes. I presently use the Fujifilm 'X' system and thoroughly enjoy it. My old Nikon DSLR kit had become too heavy for me - or, perhaps, I had become too old to carry it!
I hope to post examples of my photography soon.
A very warm welcome, Michael. A delight to have you here on the forum.
I suspect you'll have as much to teach others as they might have to show you in terms of the ways of digital and I hope you will pout those years of experience to good use in offering comments to others who are on the learning curve. But most of all, I hope you enjoy being part of CiC.
Hello everyone! My Name is Tracy Sample I live in Ohio. I own a Nikon D300 and shoot landscapes, architecture, and real estate. hope to learn and grow from this group. Thank you!
Hi Tracey,
Welcome to the CiC forums from me.
Pretty good intro, so just continue like that (i.e. don't be shy) and I'm sure we can help with your aim.
If you have any questions, please start a new thread in the most appropriate forum.
Or if you have an image you'd like to improve, feel free to post that in either of these for critique and advice.
People & Pets for those, or
Nature & Architecture for anything else (e.g. what you mostly shoot).
Cheers, Dave
PS
Could you do me a small favour please?
Could you click Settings (right at the top),
then Edit Profile (on left)
and pop where you are (Ohio, USA) in the Location field please,
then click the Save Changes button below and to right,
this helps everyone give you more personal and relevant answers - thanks in advance.
