Hi! Nice to meet you all!
Hi everyone!
My name is Damiano, and I'm an amateur photographer living in London. I love candid, non-studio photography and black and white. My favourite photographer is probably Daido Moriyama. I like to shoot my pics with compact cameras; at the moment I mainly use a tiny Panasonic TZ70. Hope to learn a lot from you all!
Welcome Damiano,
These days I also tend to shoot mostly with a compact, it is always on my hip in a belt pouch, although I confess, with a busy life, I don't get it out as often as I should.
I'm sure you'll learn lots here at CiC, I did, still do in fact.
All the best,
Dave
Hello everyone. I enjoy all phases of photography. Always used Hasselblad cameras, currently use X1D with adapted old Hassy lenses. Also shoot high school baseball and hockey with Sony a9. Interested in close-up, macro, and history of photography. I live in New Hampshire, USA.
I am really excited to have discovered this group and I am looking forward to growing as a photographer and image maker. I am a novice-novice so be kind, but critical. I want to perfect the creating powerful images in a style that is uniquely mine. Thanks in advance for helping me grow.

Hullo everyone, I am Plaisir Muzogeye, you can call me by either name. In Rwandan culture from where I come, it's as friendly to call me either Plaisir or Muzogeye, as you wish. My interest in photography begun in secondary school, and I have been doing it professionally since 2010. We don't specialise much in Rwanda, so today I can be doing landscapes, sport tomorrow, portraits another, events etc...I work for KTPress, a multiplaform news organisation, so a lot of my work is really photojournalism. I have much more to learn, and it is a wonderful opportunity to share ideas with all of you, and I know I shall learn a great deal from everyone of you. Please feel free to ask anything you might like to know about my country, which I can tell you has wonderful scenes to please any lens.

Sorry for not saying hello earlier! Welcome to CiC.
Getting back into photography was my pre-retirement project and now that I have been retired about 5 years, I find I have been able to devote a lot more time to my hobby. I was primarily a travel photography, but have branched out to other genres.
I think you will find the CiC helpful and more than willing to answer questions and comment on any images you post.
Welcome Ursula... This is a wonderful international group. I also use the A6400 and I just love the Sony 50mm f/1.8 OSS lens for portraits with that camera. It gives great results and doesn't cost a lot of money. I bought mine used...
Hi, I'm Jeff and interested in street photography. I like to get down to London whenever I can and walk the streets to see what I can capture. Currently shooting with a Fujifilm XT20 which is lightweight and compact for street work and resort to my Nikons for anything else. Looking forward to learning more and expanding my knowledge.
Hello All, My name is Karl Cook and I have had a deep passion for photography since I got my first camera, a Polaroid Swinger at age 11. I studied photography and graphic design in college and earned an Associate Degree in photography in 1979. I worked in the photographic industry as a lab tech, then as a photographer's assistant, then as in-house photographer in graphic arts departments for a local TV station and a large Telco before those kinds of jobs vanished with the advent of digital imaging.
At this point, photography is an avocation for me with my main interests being travel & landmark photography, shooting antiques and odd found things as well as air shows. I also occasionally create tabletop setups with interesting objects.
My current camera is a Nikon D600 that I (ab)use with an AF-Nikkor 24-85mm f/2.8-4 D zoom, an AF-S Nikkor 28-70mm f/2.8, a Sigma 14-24mm f/2.8 Art zoom, a Tamron 70-300mm zoom, along with Nikkor AI-S 20mm f/2.8, 55mm Auto-Micro Nikkor f/3.5 & a AI-S Nikkor 300mm f/3.5 prime manual lenses. Good day, I am in England, in Poole on the Jurassic Coast. Always loved photography and creative arts. Now retired, I have the leisure to take this forward.
