Hi, my name is Keri I am a wife and a mother of 2. I have had a passion for taking photos my whole life and capturing moments that you will probably never see again. I'm wanting to learn everything there is to know about photography so I can turn that passion into a career.

There are many people here with great skills and talent, both of which they are happy to share. Hello everyone,
I took early retirement as a concert violinist, after which I went to Rocky Mountain School of Photography and learned about your site there. Although I'm an experienced photographer, I still have so much to learn. Looking forward to doing that on this site. I love to shoot everything, but since my husband and I travel 5-6 months of the year by RV, I have more landscape and wildlife shots than anything else. I shoot with a Canon 7D Mark II and 5D Mark III. I recently bought a Sony mirrorless and am trying to learn that system.

I've had a Canon T2i for a while and have tried taking macros for myself over the past ~3 years. I hope to get a little more serious about it this summer.

Hi everybody

My name is Jeff and look forward to learning lots from you all !!! I live on a Thai island called Koh Samui, my user name of Jaiyenyen is Thai for take it easy. I use an Olympus OM D EM 1 ii now , before I had Canon 5D3 but the weight and size was to much to carry around.

Hi Jeff, and a warm welcome. We all learn from each other here, so I'm sure you will fit right in. You're not the only one to switch formats. I also switched from Canon to m4/3 a year or two back, Panasonic in my case, and I could't be happier.

Trev, thank you for your nice welcome. I'm wondering if there is a setting, or a box to check, to indicate that I have a message from someone in this forum. In other forums I will receive an email when someone posts a response to me. Or do I just need to come in to the site and look each time? Thanks!

Yes there is. If you go into the Settings/General Settings, you will see a check box to click if you want to receive an e-mail to advise of PMs in the forum.

Hi, folks. I am Rajesh Vishnu, from Goa, India. I started my photo journey in my childhood years with Kodak camera, later graduated to a Minolta point-and-shoot. In my adult years, I started off onto SLRs with a Yashica FX-3. In the digital age, I recently purchased a Sony APS-C, the A6400. I am still learning the bells and whistles of this marvelous camera.
