Hello from NE Ohio, 'old' amateur still wanting to learn new tricks. Currently have a Nikon D7200, Lenses: AF-S Nikkor 18-70mm, AF Nikkor 28-85mm and AF Nikkor 70-300mm. Looking forward to the joining in the fun here @ Cambridge in Colour.

G'day Neville from a fellow Kiwi living in Auckland. I have family in Tauranga and lived there for quite a few years - love the place! I hope you are getting through lockdown in good shape and staying well. Hopefully some safe expansion of things will be announced today.

CiC is a great community with people from all parts of the globe, at all levels of skill and with all kinds of different interests and approaches to photography. One thing we have in common is a love of photography and sharing with our fellow members. There are people here with amazing technical and artistic skills and talent who are happy to share. You can feel free to post your images for constructive comment, knowing we take that seriously.

There are also many in-depth tutorials to expand one's knowledge of the art and science. So this place is a great resource.

Lots of fun things too, like the threads on TIBM (where you respond to a subject with an appropriate image and then nominate the next theme), or Photo Association (where you post a picture that you feel links to the last one posted in some way). They will help to pass the time if you are not otherwise engaged.

Hi. I am John from Worthing in West Sussex. I am a landscaper using a canon 5D and a 1D for wildlife on occasion. I use L lenses of which one is a 24mm tilt/shift. Affinity is used for post processing as well as the Canon software as appropriate. My current obsession is mastering the tilt/shift lens which is proving to be very interesting. Hello, I am Stuart and live in Nottinghamshire UK. I have been interested in photography for some years but still have much to learn. My main interest is nature photography, birds animals and plants including macro. This site has been one of my goto sites for information for some time so I am glad to finally join.

Hi all- My name is Tim and I'm from just outside of Chicago, IL, US. I'm not sure how I got here but I'm glad I did! I've been out of the game for a while and I'm feeling the need to get out and create again. It's been a while and I'm pretty rusty so I'm looking forward having the forums here to refresh my photography muscles and help me along. Thanks for letting me join!

Hi Les, welcome to CiC. One of my projects this year is to try my hand at basic nature videography. I have no experience or skill at it yet so I'll be interested to see any of your posts about it.

I'm a painter, and a utilitarian as far as photography goes - mostly picking up source material for use in painting - but as I learn more about photography, who knows where that might go!
