Hello sir, i don't take photoes, i am not sure i come to the correct place. I saw you are talking about the photography. We are the manufacturer of LED video/ photo dive lights, may I post here? Anyway, nice to see the great forum and meet you here. Thanks!
Hello Folks,
What a wonderful site you have here! I have been browsing for a bit and I see nothing but helpful advice and really good photos! I just had to join.
My name is Chuck and I recently got into this wonderful hobby. I purchased a used camera online and have been happily shooting pictures ever since I got it. I shoot in manual mode exclusively, and do so strictly for one reason ... I wanted to learn how to make a photograph rather than how to use the camera. I will eventually get to all of the sophisticated buttons and screens, but for the moment, I am enjoying learning all I can about what goes into making a good photograph.
Which brings me to CiC. WOW! There is so much information and experience here that I just had to join. Thank you to all who are part of this community and are so willing to teach those of us so needing to learn.
Chuck
Hello everybody,
I enjoy landscape photography and my favorite places the past 5 years are Innerdalen, where I and a friend arrange a yearly photo safari in the end of September and Lofoten, both located in Norway. But most of my photographs are taken along the Swedish west coast and the near inland areas.
I hope I can share some of my knowledge about different aspects of photography as well as getting some advice and answers to my own questions. Photography is not an exception to other fields when it comes to the never ending story of "there's always more to learn and to explore"!
I've had a few exhibitions and also sold some photographs but I'm not very active with those activities since my main interest is being outdoors with my camera. I do enjoy printing my photographs but it seems to happen not even every month!
It is rather tough making a living as a nature/landscape photographer so I'm happy I can have it as a hobby even though I'm rather serious about it
Cheers!
Hi All
My name is Anne and I would class myself as keen, self trained amateur photographer. Initially inspired when my 4th child was born, to learn how to take great photos of him (he now backs away in fear every time I get out my camera ) My enthusiasm has waxed and waned over the years but inspired this year by a lot of travel to improve my skills. Hence, I stumbled across this site while trying to find some good tutorials.
I use Pentax equipment and process in PS. Hoping to learn a lot more about processing. Would like to know a bit more of the technical aspects rather than the instinctive, looks ok to me, approach that I currently use.
So far am very impressed with the information available on the site and I expect that I will spend many hours neglecting the rest of my life while I explore further.
Cheers
Anne
Hello Anne. I think the very clear majority of people who take part in this forum would put themselves in that same class. So, a very warm welcome to you. Thank you for joining and I that being part of this forum does help you continue to improve your knowledge and skills.
So that you don't continue to get people asking you what your proper name is, because most us use that on here, you can go to Edit Profile (under 'Forum Actions' on the Menu Bar), or you can just press on 'Settings' on the menu bar right up at the top right of the window. Once there you can enter the name by which you wish to be addressed under 'Real Name'. Then it will appear underneath your Username in all your posts. You can also enter your location so that it does the same, just as in my details alongside this message. Then we all know where everyone is in the world.

Hi From India ...
I am a hobbyist and want to learn a lot and want to bring out the emotions through my pictures... Looking forward to a great learning
Hello Naveen and a very warm welcome. If what you want is learning and sharing you have come to the right place.
I look forward to hearing more from you.
It would be helpful if you could update your profile so that it shows your "real name", how you want to be known, and whereabouts you are from. Maybe a bit more than India, because we have members from Rajasthan to Kerala!
Best regards,
Dave
Hello all,
My name is Will Heierman. My day job is community college math instructor at Wharton County Junior College near Houston, Texas, but I moonlight as a cameraman with a local videography firm and am learning post-production for broadcast and cinematic features. The plan is to have my own complete studio by next fall.
I joined because I just found your website and technical information about lens quality very helpful. Though I do some casual still photography, my main interest is in HD and cinematic (4K+) videography where knowing which lenses (Fujinon, Canon, Angenieux) are up to desired resolution specifications is especially critical. We use B4 mount professional video cameras (not DSLR's). We do some events and an occasional commercial, but I am more interested in "nature" - scenery, wildlife, and our seasonal gold mining activities in Montana (something that might develop into a broadcast project).
Is anyone else out there similarly engaged? If you can operate a camera or a shovel and would like to come and join us for a while next Juily or August, please let me know.
Hello everyone, my name is Michael and I'm in Texas down near Houston. Commercially I do a lot of real estate and product photography, but my real passion is printing in platinum/palladium. Eclectically speaking, another passion is live music concert photography. I shoot Canon 5DM2 and Hasselblad film.
How did I find CiC? I was browsing and just ran across it and decided to join. It looked like members are sincere in their desire to be constructive with feedback and help their fellow photographers out. I'm looking forward to interacting with you.
Very glad that you liked what you saw when you found CiC, Michael.

Hi, My name is Adrian I am 19 years old and live in Canada. I recently just found a passion for photography and am looking to create my own buisness and improve on my photographs whenever I can. I was shown this website by an instructor during a First Aid workshop.
I use a Nikon 5100 and focus on nature photography and portraits. I currently use the default lens which is a 18-55mm but am saving up for the Nikon AF-S FX 70-200mm f/4G ED VR.
I joined this site to improve my photography with the feedback of others. My photographs can be viewed on my Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/TheBeautyThruaLens
Welcome to CiC, Adrian. It'd nice to see another Canadian face on this site (there are a number of other active Canadian members as well). I hope you enjoy photography in general, as well as this site as much as we do!
