Hello all,
My name is Heinz and I have just discovered this forum as a result of a link given in my Fuji X Forum in Germany.
I shoot landscape and street when travelling, my cameras are Fuji X-Pro 1, X-E 1 and X 30.
This forum seems to be very interesting and I am glad to join.
Kind regards
Heinz
What an excellent site. It seems the answers to many of my questions, can be found on here.
Happy New Year to all. I live in a village just north of Cambridge. My main interest with photography is nature and I have been a keen amateur for the last 8 years. I currently use a Nikon D800 and the new 80 -400 VR lens which is fine for walk about. I also have a 24-70 for landscapes and a 105 macro lens and with this setup I find I am able to switch to what ever type of photography appeals to me at a specific time. I hope that via this forum my photographs can be commented on and I am able to return the pleasure on photographs posted

Hello, or Howdy as we say it in Texas, to all.
My name is Steve and I'm from Dallas, Texas. I've been casually shooting pictures for as long as I remember and I decided I wanted to move from being an average photographer to really understanding what it takes to make an excellent photograph.
I've very much enjoyed the CiC site for a few months, benefiting greatly from the excellent tutorials. I've decided to dive in and start participating in the competitions and other forums. I'm hoping I can learn as much from them as I have from the tutorials.
My equipment is a Canon 70D with various lenses. My current focus is learning the ins and outs of flash and expect to be adding to my every growing investment in photography gear by adding to my flash capabilities in my studio, er, home.
Thanks to all who have made this site such an excellent resource.
Regards,
Steve Donovan

Well Howdy to you Steve (or Eyup lad, as they say in my part of the world )Hello, or Howdy as we say it in Texas, to all.
Glad that you have decided to take the plunge and join in. The tutorials are indeed excellent, but there is nothing like sharing images and commenting to progress and improve, and I see you have already started! Look forward to seeing and hearing more from you. I'm off across the pond to Florida tomorrow to get some warmth - but have never made it to Texas.

Hi, My name is Kenny and I am from a town near Glasgow, Scotland. My main interest in photography is aviation, although I obviously take photos of other things! I have many photos scattered around the web, most on Flickr. I am also interested in post processing precedures and use Photoshop CS5 and Lightroom 5. I am always looking for new ideas and techniques that will improve my photography. I have read many articles over the last few years, many on this very site. I will confess that I do not participate in Forum discussions as a poster very often but I enjoy reading them.
Regards
Kenny (kw2p)
Hi Kenny,
Warm welcome to the CiC forums from me.
I hope, with the aid of the thread below, we can get you more involved, since obtaining feedback on your own images is a very efficient way to learn.
How to Get Effective Feedback for your Posted Images
btw, when you've reached 10 posts, you'll be able to add a signature (like I have) with a link in to your website - which I just had a quick look at and was impressed by the shots of planes and helicopters; great choices of shutter speeds to show movement over background and/or propeller, turbofan or helicopter blades.
All the best, Dave
Hi everybody,
just signed up and look forward meeting you.
Hello All
This is Steve from Brisbane, Australia. I have stumbled across your forum more by accident and so glad I have!
I've recent recently reignited by love of photography with a new Sony A6000. One of the most amazing finds is that I can use my old Minolta lenses on it with the aid of an adapter - yahoo!
My preferences include nature, macro flowers and lamdscapes, plus the odd bit of street photography.
I'm looking forward to communicating with you over time, blessings,
Steve

It will be nice too if you can fill in your profile because we will forget later on where you are from ... 'must be the weather, many are coming back and many have been commenting from the usual people we already have here...this is a good learning community so it does not matter what camera you have. You will learn a lot here like we all once did...and stayed.
