I hope to learn from the forum and get into conversations with the members and look forward to meeting them here.
I took this photograph at Scarborough in the Danby forest last year.
Hi Terry,
Warm welcome to the CiC forums from me.
Could you do me a favour please?
Could you click Settings (right at the top),
then Edit Profile (on left)
and put your first name (Terry) in the Real Name field
and where you are (West Midlands, UK) in the Location field,
then click the Save Changes button below and to right,
this helps everyone give you more personal and relevant answers - thanks in advance.
The picture didn't appear, as you've no doubt seen by now.
I'm not sure which method you were trying or if you have seen this thread:
HELP THREAD: How can I post images here?
If I were to guess, you might have successfully uploaded the photo, but forgot to copy and paste the link of the image location in to your post.
However, if you are looking for constructive feedback, you should really start a new thread and post it there.
Additionally; you may find the first post in this thread useful:

Look forward to seeing a picture in due course, Dave

Re: NEW MEMBER? Please Introduce Yourself Here
Hi everyone!
I am Leonardo, from Rosario, Argentina, a 61 year old mechanical engineer, taking pictures since I was 6 or 7. But such a long time shooting, didn't guarantee good pictures, I know!
Few years ago, I decided to do something about it and I started studying and reading about photography, composition, painting as to improve results.
I love landscape, macro and birds photography. I have a Sony Alpha 65V and looking for an A99V body to reach a full format level.
I hope I'll learn a lot at CIC.
Best,

It is indeed. And it is a delight welcome you here to the CiC forum.
I think you'll find many people as enthusiastic as yourself and we come together here in this mutual learning environment where people share knowledge and experience so that we and others can improve our skills.
So that you don't continue to get people asking you what your proper name is, because most us use that on here, you can go to Edit Profile (under 'Forum Actions' on the Menu Bar), or you can just press on 'Settings' on the menu bar right up at the top right of the window. Once there you can enter the name by which you wish to be addressed under 'Real Name'. Then it will appear underneath your Username in all your posts.

Leonardo - That is a wonderful introductory image. I hope we will see many more of them here on the CiC forum.
I hope that you do learn as a result of your involvement in the forum. But I am also sure that you will be able to use your knowledge and experience to help other people improve their skills. I look forward to you being involved in the forum.
Re: NEW MEMBER? Please Introduce Yourself Here
I am a new member and look forward to gleaning photography technique and methods from other members. I have used digital cameras since 1998 despite the extreme shortcomings of those early editions. I have never stopped searching for the perfect digital camera and have acquired many over the years, starting with a Kodak/Nikon DCS200 (which was very poor indeed by today's standards!) and today I use several different styles and types of excellent cameras.
These cameras are: Nikon D5000, Olympus OMD-EM5, Fuji X-M1, Nikon Coolpix P520 and a Sigma DP1X. My current favorite is the Olympus EM5. Among the retired cameras I have once owned (still have some of them): Kodak/Nikon DCS460, Sigma SD14, Sigma SD9, Sigma DP2M, Nikon E8800, Canon Pro90 IS, Canon T4i, Canon XT, Nikon D50, Fuji S2 Pro and few others not worth mentioning.
I use Photoshop CC for post processing and have used every version of Photoshop since version 2.5 in the late 1990s.
Cheers to one and all!

Hello and welcome to the CiC forum. I hope you enjoy being involved.
There's one thing I'd ask you to do. You can also enter your location so that it does the same, just as in my details alongside this message. Then we all know where everyone is in the world.

¡Hola David! ¡Qué bueno encontrar ayuda inglesa en argentino! :)
Es la primera vez que participo de un foro y que además publico alguna foto. Espero contar con tu crítica y ayuda. Y si vienes (venís, como decimos aquí) a Argentina, saberlo para compartir experiencias.
Saludos cordiales,
Leonardo

Hello Karl. A very warm welcome from me to the CiC forum.
I do hope you enjoy being involved and that you find it helpful. An important point to remember is that everyone on here was once at the stage of knowledge and experience that you are at just now. Everyone has to learn. That is why CiC is dedicated to all of us helping each other by sharing what we can so that we learn from each other.
Great to have you here.
Re: NEW MEMBER? Please Introduce Yourself Here
Hi, my name is Paula. I have a Nikon D7000 and think I found the right camera for my needs and skills. I visit the local zoo 3-4 times/week to try out new settings on the camera. My biggest frustration is shooting through the fencing.
Re: NEW MEMBER? Please Introduce Yourself Here
Hello again - I haven't posted in a few months so thought I'd reintroduce myself here. I'm a hobbyist with much to learn, shooting all sorts of stuff and keen to have comments that help me improve. I use a d7100 with a small selection of lenses that takes me from 18-300mm as needed, as well as some decent speed lights and some basic light modifiers. I am still learning how to get the best out of everything!
Why did I stop posting? Well, I hit a bit of a wall with photography generally, comparing my images to others and being frustrated by the comparison. Work got busy and my motivation to shoot was diminished. However it's back with a bang and I hope to contribute here once more.

Re: NEW MEMBER? Please Introduce Yourself Here
I came across Cambridge in Colour when researching a camera purchase. I shoot almost exclusively landscape photographs. I've been using a Canon Rebel xti for 10 years. I am starting to print my work, as I have more control over the printed image than I do on my flickr site. I like to make large prints (16x24) and found that I have to significantly enlarge my Canon images to meet this size. Therefore I decided to buy a full frame higher MP camera. After extensive research I settled on the Nikon D750, choosing that over the Sony A7II and the Canon Mark III. I paired the D750 with a Tamron 28-75. I also had to get a new computer to handle the larger file sizes. For post processing I use LR6, Topaz, and ON1 applications on a PC.
