Nice captures and conversions.
Nice work John, I enjoyed looking at them. Good start to the new year.
Very good subjects John well captured and processed. The unusual composition of the Bell tower works well
Nice images, John. Your photography and PP are immaculate (as always).
While I like the street lamps, that church tower looks like it is about to come crashing down!
Both excellent John
par excellence...simply awesome!!!
The relationship between the foreground window and the street lamps makes the second image for me.
Both nicely done, John.
Both are striking and well done, but I prefer the second because of the interesting lines.
From past experience at my club, I feel sure that the first would please a typical competition judge...but the leaning tower is not for me. The second is my choice - interesting subject, well-captured, great composition, and nice conversion.
Cheers.
Philip
Thanks all for the feedback and comments.
Manfred/Philip, I quite like the first one. I was trying for something different from a straight forward shot but you are right Philip, it is the sort of thing that club judges like if only because it gives them something to critique - not easy when you are faced with 100+ images to say something about.
Both are very well done John. Your processing gives them a very tactile feeli and I imagine they would look fabulous printed.
I am in the same boat in terms of getting a slow start to 2016 although I can't really blame the weather. Regardless, I can only hope my first shots of the year are as nice as these
The first one seems too clinical, John...I prefer the second one because of the lines and shapes and it is easier to the eyes and imagine how it looks like in person, mono or not.
Welcome beck...
Thank you Shane, thank you Izzie.
