    Fresh off the boat

With the shrimp boats just returning, it a great time to get fresh shrimp. A shrimper weighs out the customer's request. C & C always.

Brings back memories. Thanks for sharing. This one seems a perfect candidate for B/W conversion.

Interesting image, well captured Dean. He looks to be a good subject for a Portrait if he's up for it.

    Re: Fresh off the boat

This image reminds me of buying shrimp off the boats in coastal North Carolina, when I was out that way for a week of diving. Fresh shrimp were great. In those days I loved having them, but I've unfortunately developed an allergy to crustaceans, so they are strictly off limits now.

As for the image, I know how crowded fishing docks can be when the boats come in, but suspect the composition would have been stronger had you taken the shot a bit further left so that there is a bit of separation between the fisherman and the scale.

One of my favourite shellfish -- remind me to cook those ones I have in cereals:

Thanks for commenting, Manfred. Space was very limited, any further left and I would have been in the the holding tank.

Izzie, thanks for the recipe link; I'll have to give it a try.
