I like this. I agree with Geoff. I think the left is fine in your second version, but I would crop a bit more from the bottom. The foreground is not the interesting part, but it gets a lot of weight in this version. I would crop approximately to where the yellow stalks become apparent.

So , it is a kind of eye trick I suppose I have given up adding borders to my images and I have already removed some of them because when I uploaded them to Flickr with the borders they spoilt the look of my photostream
    Binnur,

Yes I do believe it's an eye trick, some border colors just allow the eyes to roam freely within the composition and some can just stop the progression entirely.

Thanks for looking and commenting Dan Here is the cropped image according to your suggestion. Actually I tried such a crop before uploading my original but it seemed a bit odd to me so I stepped back. I made a very quick crop on the JPG image and saved it again, so the IQ might get worse , sorry about it

Hi Binnur - a unusual shot. I like the fall colors. I did not see any huge issues with the original cropping.

Thank you Sam You are right that there is not a huge difference between the original and the second image.IMO the second image looks a bit neater with the slight crop. For the last one, as I said before I'm not very fond of that crop.

I still see the vibrancy and shine of the trees in my monitor, Binnur. It is really beautiful with the grey skies. It works for me no matter what crop you do to it..

Thank you Isabel . Color contrast in nature has improved the image on its own
