Re: In my yard yesterday morning
You are 'lucky' having birds like that come to you instead of just sparrows that fought over my feeder last winter when I was filling it
The red bird looks as if [s]he is puffed up to insulate from the cold? Snow or raindrops you caught?

I have quite a number of them in my feeder this year and they don't mind the cold really...Your first shot is a beauty.

Re: In my yard yesterday morning
Great shots. Especially like the first. I suspect if the cardinals are happy you will have their offspring next year too. Black oil seed works great for cardinals.

Re: In my yard yesterday morning
Thank you Sam,
I'll try with the seed of which you speaking ... at the moment I using a mixture for wild birds, this is valuable information as I will try to see the results.
This demonstrates that patience and efforts finally pay off.....
