A welcome bit of colour to brighten our grey days at the moment Alan. But at least the snow, such as it was, disappeared in 48 hours.

Is this shot the way to your front door, Manfred?

Nice refreshing colour, Alan -- different, while some of our friends here have to dig themselves out of their homes/caves from last night's blizzard...

Not quite. Home is a bit more built up, but we are close to the great outdoors and a 5 - 10 minute drive gets us to some decent snowshoeing and cross-country ski trails in the winter. For the rest of the year, a large network of bike trails is just a few minutes of pedaling away.

We wonder about how people in the tropics manage too, Nandakumar. When it gets cold, all we have to do is dress in warmer clothes, but when it gets really hot and humid, the options are more limited.

Be happy with what you have Nandy...My Asian blood is muggy and hot weather and it is not pleasant to have layers of clothes on during winter. Very skin drying...
