    Full moon and fence

I have been waiting quite some time for the full moon to be in position over this fence and field. I was hoping for no clouds but the little cloud on the horizon may be a benefit.

I will try again next month when the sky is bit higher and I have more light, too light and it loses a bit of the magic. it helps to have the heavy frost on the plants and fence too, to pick out the wire and weeds.

The major drawback was vicious wind chill. Probably minus 35C. I could not stay out long and had to retreat to the truck several times to thaw out.

Nicely done, the light definitely adds to the atmosphere and great looking leading lines and contrasting elements. I usually spend at least twenty minutes a day out in the cold, but for some reason it really soaks into your bones when trying to concentrate on your craft.

It was worth the chill factor to get the image, Trevor.

You could try one day before the full moon as wel, the moon is up slightly earlier so with more light. It varies from month to month how much earlier and how much more light, but when I try moon photos it's usually the day before the actual full moon

Here in kathmandu, sadly, there's little chance of a good moon shot. I can see the moon now, beginning to set, but still really too high in the sky to make a good photo. As it gets close to the horizon it gets lost in the smog.
