Re: Flies on my dinner
Hi Dicky......very sharp ....excellent images....but I find the Frangipanni image a little bit to dark ( at least as it shows on my computer )
I never see all those nice, colourfull beetles here, although I would definitely prefer they would not be inside the house
Greetings,
Omi........

Yes, well focused and exposed, although I would agree that the last one does appear to be a little on the dark side.

Have to love the Skipper. They always enjoy posing in the afternoon sun.

Re: Flies on my dinner
The first one is a bit soft in my monitor; The second one is OK sharp; the skipper is a nice shot; but the last one is my favourite though a bit on the dark side..

Re: Flies on my dinner
Many thanks to all who replied. The Assassin Bug was in an awkward spot and very poor light and I couldn't hold the camera still enough to get a sharp shot. The dark flower background was a late evening shot that I thought captured the moment. I've lightened the image (probably a little too much):

The edit looks fine to me. In fact you could probably get away with a little bit more if carefully applied. Although there is something a little different to be gained from having a slightly darker scene.

I agree...you overdid it...the drama of the shot is almost gone...sorry.
