The heart of the matter
I was reading the latest news in the Digital Photography Review site when I came across this article about a professional photographer who started taking photos of children with terminal illnesses because of a tragedy in her own family. I am not sure how CIC feels about links to other sites, but I hope that this is worthy of repeating. I know it moved me deeply.

It expresses eloquently the changes we can make to others through photography, and in that context, the gear is not the issue but rather the priceless memories we can give to a family who have to bury their children.

I try to do my part, but not photographically. It is a good concept.

Photography is a wondrous tool/art form because it can blend and supplement with any pursuit or hobby.. It can also be instrumental in helping people, animals, the environment and virtually anyone or anything that needs help
