    Nicola,

I wondered if you ever printed these images?

Nicola: I wonder if you are aware that the Nik Collection Manfred mentioned is now available for free.

Manfred: Horseshoe Bend is the Colorado River, which flows through the Grand Canyon. However, Horseshoe bend is just a bit north of the Grand Canyon and is instead in the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area.

Hi Nicola, I like the photo very much. It works better for me with the bottom 30-40% cropped out highlighting just the river and the trees and mountains.

It depends what you want from that river scene, Nicola. It works OK but there is a lot of driftwood occupying and dominating the foreground and there is another option for cropping the bottom just above the log. But I wouldn't really want to lose anything from the sides so that would mean going to a more panoramic size.

Thanks for the clarification, MIke. That is a part of the USA I have never been to, but it is definitely still on my "to do" list.
