green and go!
Some people are very disciplined and start walking only when it's green.

Re: green and go!
Nice capture. It looks as if the soldiers of two countries are just about to attack each other

It's in Bilbao, Spain. An image hardly to make in Amsterdam.

Re: green and go!
Nice image George. Everything looks so organized and safe.
This is completely different that what I am experiencing in India right now, where crossing the street is an adventure of dodging all of the vehicles that seem to suggest that the traffic signals are little more than a suggestion.

Manfred, it is really unique how social norms are different in different areas. Some groups intrinsically obey laws, like traffic signs and lights while others just do their own thing helter-skelter.

A good shot George. Don't usually see this much obedience around here

Re: green and go!
Such an everyday, mundane scene that became such a wonderful photograph. Exceptionally well seen!

Re: green and go!
In the Germany of old, people crossing the streets are also well behaves socially. They remain on the pavement until the light changes to green. (I do not know if they still do it nowadays.) Then you go to England and everyone seems to be a hurry ...
Nice shot, George...good inspiration and idea for travelers. It wouldn't cross my mind to take a shot of people crossing a normal traffic light...

Re: green and go!
City traffic and people crossing streets interest me and I always seem to return from a trip with a small collection of images documenting the streets..

Re: green and go!
I agree with Richard. The two images show two different attitudes. One very organised and the other is so relaxed and taking things easy . Thanks for sharing
