Wandering through the streets

I spent a bit of time walking around the streets of Bangalore today. It's a small city of only around 8-milion people, so isolating a subject and getting a shot is challenging for sure.

I took this colourful looking gentleman not far from the Russel Market.

Very nice tonal range in your conversion. For some the backgound may distract but for me it provides a frame of reference and visual interest. I like the uncertainty which makes me wonder what is going on and causes me to explore the man and the image more.

Very well done.

Excellent image.

I used to correspond with a physician from Bangalore, Dr. Deepak Rao, who was an excellent Macro Photographer and from whom I learned this equipment setup and technique for lighting a macro image with off camera flash...

That's a great street portrait, it works really well in BW.

I have no idea if the main subject is connected to the bicycle... But is there any way to include all of the bicycle in the frame? I'm seeing a story where the bike is loaded with goods, but the chain has come off, leading to the guy standing there at a bit of a loss of what to do about it

I plan to, but am still struggling with a virus I likely picked up on the flight over here. Hopefully it clears over the next few days.

Make a toady of lemon and honey and an oz of Rum or Whisky and you'll be right...no more cold, no more flu. I do not drink alcoholic drinks but Bill gave me a glass of warm toady so now I am in bed giddy with the rum. I think I will OK tomorrow...
