    Before and After

Whilst waiting for a fireworks show, I took this image of the Pier, looking out to the restaurant area at the end.
The sky was a bit cloudy and I was facing away from the sunset, but there was still some nice colour in the sky with the building lights together.
The fireworks were the 'family' show at around 9.30pm.

    Before and After

Then afterward, i thought the other end of the Pier, with a glimpse of the Ferris Wheel & car head & tail-lights also provided a wee bit of a different subject.

They are nice. Why not using an ND filter to make the water smoother next time ?

Two nicely composed shots Kay but I think the first is a bit overexposed. Bringing it down a bit produces a bit more colour.

I am with John...I think the first one is a bit overexposed. It lacks the drama of the night there seeing that it was shot nearly at night. I like the second one best.

Was the fireworks you were expecting for Australia Day, a day earlier than your image according to your EXIF, but it might be fore another event? Just curious...

Thanks John, funnily enough I always think my images tend to be a bit underexposed for the most part compared with others subjective taste, so I lifted this a bit... I will put it back where it belongs

Thanks for your feedback Izzie and yes correct, it was actually Australia Day eve fireworks, not really sure why, maybe as there was a sailing regatta on the bay that weekend & Australia Day was Tuesday this year.
It was nice to watch either way.
