    Snow Carving

Suffering from Cabin Fever, I visited the St Paul Winter Carnival......yes... We are deranged in Minnesota!

It was actually unseasonably warm for January, so the rush was on to view the snow sculpture contest before they melted.

Nice efforts, that snow is dazzling and so hard to control and capture.

Obviously tricky shooting conditions so you have managed well and kept everything bright while avoiding any over exposure.

    Re: Snow Carving

Thank you for the kind words.

This winter has been one of challenging conditions for me. The nearly constant overcast has kept temps warmer than normal, but many of my landscape shots just seem flat. I really enjoyed the low sun and blue skies on this half hour shoot....sorry about the shadow people, the one with the broad rim hat is as close to a selfie as you are likely to see.

Interesting. Some beautiful sculptures. Up here they carve ice.
