    "Plume"

Taken with my Panasonic FZ20 [Bridge camera] when I went out with my new Raynox 2020 tele-adaptor and found I could not zoom back when I was 'too close' without vignetting ... so I dispensed with it and got this at around 280mm AOV.
A messy shot for sure but isn't the tail a lovely plume?

Man o man! That guy who fell off the horse was a good shot there...and yes, the plume of the horse' tail is very nicely caught. Looks like the focus is more on the horse's butt here... Do you have any more images from that event? I am interested in rodeos in the past and I have not been to see any for the last 10 years or so...

    John,

Yes, a plume for sure, and you definitely caught the guy on his way down. It looks like he's getting ready for the impact.
I also find the expressions of some of the folks in the background amusing.

I found that too Binnur ... but... my book says one should concentrate of the subject .... conflict

Plus with only a 5Mp camera one needs to use as many of the pixels as possible ... more conflict

For Issie ... A second is a long time when on the back of a steer .... Numbered by the second counter in EXIF ... SOOC showing vignetting at 150 and 215mm of the 430 zoom plus 2.2x adaptor.

I think he did quite well staying on that long
Another shot I have shows the steer on its knees in the box! Frustrating for the would be rider.

Still, some good series of about to happen and the action shots that accompanied them...It must have been exciting even just to be there..
