Brian - this one isn't working for me although I can see what attracted you to the shot. The leaves are pointing down to the flower that is too far in shadow. The part you have lit feels like the uninteresting bit.
When shooting, lifting the flower up so different parts of the flower caught the light may have worked better, or you could set up with flashes to achieve something similar, and have complete control. It feels like this shot may be taking you down a path to low-key photography, a technique I love (but I'm still learning!)
+1 to what Steve has written in the first paragraph.
It's unfortunate that we can't see the metadata associated with this shot, but your host strips that all out. Because of the lighting and the significant underexposure in this shot, you have created a large dark area around the top of the trumpet of the flower and this is extremely distracting.
Has a nice composition and interesting formations, just a tad bit more light needed.
That flower has an lovely curvature; the light should have been on the petals than on the tube; further flowers should be completely within the frame; this is the way i felt
