Aperture P, exposure compensation, RAW, colours should be vibrant

Whatever colours your monitor shows you they should be popping. Apologies for the less than artistic setting but I was working on exposure and colours. As i was shooting inside i even used (at Grumpies suggestion) a tethered setup to see things at full size. With my old eyes it was a help. Thanks Grumpy

Have a look at your histogram - still very underexposed. There is no meaningful data anywhere on the right hand side of the histogram.

If your goal is to get everything to pop, the colors will pop even more if you adjust the curve primarily to attend to the brightness and the white point and to increase mid-tone contrast.

I disagree with Manfred that the image is very underexposed. The histogram data seems to represent the distribution of tones in the scene reasonably well. Your decision is whether to document the scene accurately or to make the scene pop even more than happens in its physical reality.

I'm not sure where meaningful begins but there is lots of data on the right hand side. If I was to go up 1 stop way too much gets blown. Certainly the shadows are underexposed but the house isn't.

for reasons known only to my taste buds the house colours remind me of bubblegum so popping is the right term.
