    Gears

Another shot I am trying out in black & white. I really liked the shape of it and the way it caught the light from the window.

    Gears

    Same shot in colour.

    C&C is welcome.

    Hi Kyle
Nice picture, with what do you do your B/W conversion?
With silver effect you have several contrast option .
I personally would like to have more contrast and a little under exposure but it's still very good

    Re: Gears

I would suggest toning down the hot something or other below the gears, but other than that I like the image and much prefer the B&W.

I prefer the colour version but maybe worth playing around with the yellow and green sliders in your B&W one to see if you can get a more pleasing contrast.

I much prefer the B&W version and I also agree with Tony, a little less exposure.

I use Lightroom for all of my photo editing. I am also learning Photoshop.

Thanks for all the comments everyone. I'll give the black and white one another round of editing. Thanks to everyones comments I think I've got a good idea on how to improve the shot.

Nice shot. Good subject for B/W conversion. BTW that's a worm gear.
