    It's soft but it still makes for a decent image with the background.

    The red has an almost surreal quality, like you desaturated the whole image and the coloured it in. I wonder if this is just a product of the lack of detail from a heavy crop. Btw, you missed his wings below the branch -these are still showing in black and white!

    That is the one thing that I like about this shot. It has the appearance that it is a B&W that has been colorized....it has not been.
    I merely have increased contrast about +20, exposure about 2/3, shadows +48, whites about +45, blacks about -20, Clarity +20, Vibrance +19, Saturation +10
